Hi there! When I started this blog on a whim in 2008, I named it Jaybird in honor of my baby boy to chronicle my new life as a stay-at-home mom. It's been a little pet project that almost starved from neglect in 2012, our first year living with an autism diagnosis for my Jay Boy. Since the blog began, we've add two sweet little girls to the mix, and are holding on for dear life!
I'm minding this little blog better now, and hope to grow it beyond my little circle to perhaps encourage and collaborate with other moms going down this crazy path of raising (hopefully!) grounded and God-loving children while keeping sane and staying married to the one who brought me to the party. That's Alex. He thinks I'm hiliarious and I try to keep him laughing. He really loves when I pull out my dance "moves". He is a man who keeps his promises and puts us first. Though I don't brag about him enough, I think he's pretty fantastic.
I eat way too many sweets and could happily hole up and read all day. I like to think I'm funny and sincere. Thanks for reading and I hope you drop by again!
You can email me at youngjaybirdga@gmail.com if you'd like to say hello yourself.
Melissa
